PacBio investigating after fire causes $750K in damages

April 10, 2019 - Pacific BioEnergy and fire officials are investigating after a fire on Saturday caused significant damage to the wood pellet plant's bucket elevator and an electrical control room. 


“We are continuing to investigate the incident and assess the efforts to effect and complete repairs,” Pacific Bioenergy president John Stirling told The Prince George Citizen. “No workers were injured. All workers continue to work their regular shifts at the plant.”

Prince George Fire Rescue assistant chief Fred Wilkinson said the estimated damage to the facility is $750,000.
