Rentech looks to sell Atikokan pellet plant

Nov. 16, 2017 - California-based Rentech has put its pellet plant in Atikokan, Ont., up for sale, according to Tbnewswatch.com. The plant is currently supplying pellets to Ontario Power Generation's station near Atikokan.
“I’m still very optimistic that the plant’s going to keep operating because they do have a contract with OPG for 10 years, and we’re only on year three,” Atikokan Mayor Dennis Brown told tbnewswatch.com.
According to the report, three prospective buyers are looking at the operation.
