March 11, 2016 – Plans for a land sale for a new wood pellet plant development have missed a deadline to help move the project forward.

According to an article from the Brockville Recorder, the missed signing deadline comes on the heels of an expected agreement that was to be reached near the end of 2015.

A group known as Protocol Biomass first proposed the $73 million pellet plant project in eastern Ontario in February of 2012. However, negotiations are ongoing for a land agreement for the new plant, which is to be located in the Prescott, Ont. north-end industrial park.
