Reducing GHG emissions one airline at a time

July 27, 2017- Canadian airlines are striving to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by using biofuels from forest residue for their aircraft.

 

 

The goal is to cut emissions in half by 2050.

“Canada actually has an opportunity like no other country where it can displace large amounts of fuel and reduce large amounts of carbon,” Air Canada’s manager of aircraft noise and emissions, Mena Salib said, as reported by the Canadian Press.
