Manitoba Hydro sued over biomass project

September 20, 2013, Winnipeg, MN – Manitoba Hydro is facing
a $1 million lawsuit over a blast at a biomass pilot project site at a
Hutterite colony earlier this year.

Preseco Oy says that Manitoba Hydro made modifications to
the plant without previous discussion and failed to follow instructions given
by the company regarding operation and installation of the equipment. The
company claims that this led to a small explosion at the job site, which they
say Manitoba Hydro refused to fix the damage from.

A spokesman for Manitoba Hydro has gone on record to say
that they dispute the allegations.
