Rembe welcomes new CEO, Gerd Mayer retires

Rembe Inc. is pleased to welcome Till Westerbarkey as its new CEO.

Westerbarkey comes to Rembe Inc. with extensive worldwide explosion safety and business development experience from his many years with Rembe Safety + Control and previous industry experience.

Most recently, as managing director of Rembe Latin America, Westerbarkey developed a sales, engineering and service team, thereby significantly growing the Latin American market/awareness of combustible dust explosion safety and Rembe capabilities to service that market.

While undertaking this extensive project, Westerbarkey also worked with the Rembe chief business development officer in Germany as deputy chief business development officer to increase networking within the Rembe Group and to better serve global accounts on an international level.

Rembe Inc. wishes all the best to retiring president and CEO Dr. Gerd Mayer, founding president of Rembe Inc.

For over 16 years, Mayer oversaw Rembe Inc.’s start-up and growth to today’s position as a significant contender in the combustible dust explosion safety market. In addition to establishing a U.S. headquarters facility in Fort Mill, S.C., Mayer spearheaded the Rembe Inc. ISO Certification project to a successful conclusion.

Dr. Mayer will stay on with Rembe Inc. in a consulting capacity until April 30, 2023.
