May 13, 2014, St. Anthony, Nfld. – Rentech is looking at
options for wood fibre industry development in the northern peninsula area of
Newfoundland.

Last month, Rentech announced that it has acquired rights to
280,000 cubic metres of wood in central Newfoundland previously used to feed
the Abitibi-Bowater mill in Grand Falls-Windsor.

According to a report in The Northern Pen, representatives
from Rentech were in St. Anthony last week, and met with representatives from
the St. Anthony Port Authority and Holson Forest Products, as well as government
consultants.

It is believed that St. Anthony was approached based on its
port facilities. Rentech has yet to confirm a contract with any port in
Newfoundland, something that Rentech will need in order to move wood from the
stand in central Newfoundland.
