Report details European solid biomass use

Dec. 29, 2010 – In Europe, solid biomass leaves the other renewable energy sources behind in terms of use and potential. According to the Solid Biomass Barometer, published by EurObserv’ER in November 2010, primary energy output from solid biomass combustion in Europe rose in 2009 yet again to a new height of 72.8 million tones oil equivalent, which equates to a 3.6% increase on 2008.
