Rich countries need to help weaker countries transition toward cleaner energy: report

The results from a recent report by Carbon Tracker suggests that a “wake-up call” has been made to fossil fuel-dependent countries to encourage them to diversify their economies.

It also urges richer countries to help countries with weaker economies help in their transition to cleaner energy.

The study is based on average oil prices of $40 a barrel out to 2040.
