RISI announces program for upcoming conference

August 14, 2013, Bedford, Mass. – RISI has announced new program additions and
speakers for the 28th Annual RISI North American Forest Products Conference, to
be held October 7-9, 2013, in San Diego, California, at the Hotel del Coronado.

The conference will feature a lineup of guest speakers from leading companies
across the North American forest products industry, as well as a select group
of RISI economists, who will present research and outlooks for critical market
segments.

Conference attendees will include executives from pulp and paper companies, wood and
timber industry executives, forest owners and timber investment management
organizations (TIMOs), financial and market analysts, procurement managers,
business intelligence managers, investment consultants, suppliers and logistics
managers, among others.

At the conference, Mike Coffey, CEO of RISI, will present the 2013 CEO of the Year
Award to Jim Hannan, CEO of Georgia Pacific. Hannan will also participate in a
CEO roundtable discussion, "The Future Is Now for US Industry", along
with several other influential industry executives, including:

• Gary McGann, CEO, Smurfit Kappa Group
• Dave Patterson, CEO, Verso Paper

In addition, RISI economists will be presenting market outlooks and forecasts for
