Sale of Greenergy biofuel supplier explored

The sale of U.K.-based biofuel provider Greenergy is being explored by Brookfield Business Partners LP.

Waste oil purchased by Greenergy is converted into renewable biofuel before being supplied to such destinations as Canada, the U.K., Ireland, Brazil and the Middle East.

Deliberations are still early, and neither Greenergy nor Brookfield wishes to comment on the matter.

In 2019, Greenergy generated US$195 million in adjusted earnings prior to interest, taxes, depreciation and amoritization.
