Sarnia attracts the bio-industry with major projects in 2018
Jan. 8, 2018 - Sarnia, Ont., often called chemical valley, is successfully turning into biochemical valley thanks to an unprecedented number of bio-industry projects announced last year.

Matthew Slotwinski, business development consultant at the Sarnia-Lambton Economic Partnership (SLEP), told The Sarnia Journal the bio-industry has ramped up significantly since BioAmber built its $141-million plant in 2015. Adding to the cluster is Advanced Chemical Technologies, Origin Materials, S2G, and Comet Biorefining.
