Sept. 11, 2017 - Wood pellet stakeholders know safety is of paramount importance at the plant and what better way to learn more about safety than surrounded by your peers who are facing the same challenges.

At this year’s Wood Pellet Association of Canada AGM and Conference taking place in Ottawa Sept. 18-20, safety is on the agenda.

Speakers include:

  • Budd Phillips from WorkSafeBC on creating a safer wood pellet industry together
  • Scott Bax from Pinnacle Renewable Energy on a paradigm shift in safety
  • And keynote speaker Candace Carnahan whose presentation is titled, See something… say something!

Time is running out to get your seat at the table to discuss pellet plant safety, just one component of the WPAC conference theme: Contributing to Canada’s low-carbon future.

BONUS: WPAC is offering a pellet plant tour of Lauzon Recycled Wood Energy and a tour of an Okofen Boiler heating system in Papineauville, Que. This year’s conference also includes a Pellet Party: Celebrating 150 years of sustainable energy in Canada!
