June 1, 2010 – A study prepared for the Canadian Renewable Fuels
Association (CRFA) to determine the economic impact of renewable fuel
plants in Canada has concluded that renewable fuel plants represent a
positive economic benefit.

The study, prepared by Doyltech Corporation, has proved that even after
making allowance for the
opportunity costs of alternate investments, and the opportunity costs
of alternate feedstock sales, all levels of government gain from
renewable fuels plants, and incentive programs to encourage biofuels
production and use in Canada have been a wise investment.
