Suncor invests in carbon capture tech company to reduce its GHG emissions

Calgary-based Suncor Energy Inc. is investing in Svante Inc. of Vancouver – a carbon capture technology company – to reduce or offset its greenhouse gas emissions.
The oil and gas operations company says its investment in Svante will support a technology that could reduce the cost of carbon capture.
Suncor is looking to reduce the emissions intensity of its petroleum production by 30 per cent by 2030.
