April 13, 2017 - A new technical paper from Ecostrat explains how a computer modelling method can address risk in agricultural biomass supply chains.

The paper “Unexpected Cost Savings by Building Resiliency into Agricultural Biomass Supply Chains”, argues that this new method can quantify an impact of a natural disruption such as droughts, floods, or pest infestations. The researchers find that by designing the supply chain with resiliency in mind, the expected disruption cost is reduced by up to 38 per cent.
