June 28, 2011 – The Trebio wood pellet
plant in Portage-du-Fort, Quebec, is now producing pellets. The pellet mills
went through commissioning tests in early June and are now starting to produce
wood pellets to meet the company’s early orders.

“Our program to start producing in June was
set at the end of last year, and we are pleased to be producing on time and to
the quality we need,” says Yann Selin, Trebio’s production manager.

Trebio is now open for business. The first
shipments of pellets in bags and bulk are being prepared for delivery to Europe
and North America. In May 2011, the company was awarded a five-year contract to
supply pellets to two local schools that have switched to biomass heating.
