TRU takes top spot in Sierra Club’s school sustainability ranking

Kamloops, B.C.-based Thompson Rivers University (TRU) is the first in Canada to be ranked No.1 in the Sierra Club’s annual list of top 20 most sustainable colleges and universities.

Sierra, the non-profit’s magazine, published this year’s ranking yesterday, with TRU in the top spot. The university’s biomass heating system was mentioned among its other sustainability initiatives.
