UK Biomass-fired power breaks record in May

Biomass-fired generation took a record share of the UK energy mix in May. According to Argus Media, it accounted for 8.8 pc in May, up from 7.98 pc in April.

Total biomass output reached 1.73 TWh in May, while biomass-fired generation hit 2.33 GW, despite Drax having multiple days of outages at four of its units.
