Utah utility to test biomass from Canada

Feb. 7, 2017 - Rocky Mountain Power, a U.S. utility that is part of Pacificorp, plans to test the use of biomass to fuel its coal-fired power plant in Utah.
The fuel will be supplied by Active Energy Group Plc, which received funding in November to build an industrial plant to produce CoalSwitch, a fuel made of low-grade forest residual. According to Bloomberg, that plant will be built in Canada.
