July 9, 2018 - With growth in pellet exports from Vietnam going from nearly zero to about 2.75 million metric tonnes per year over seven years, the obvious questions are: What are the limits to growth for that country and what will be the future production costs, and thus the future prices, for pellets produced in Vietnam? A new brief white paper from FutureMetrics addresses those questions.
The analysis is based on several sources including primary sources developed by FutureMetrics. FutureMetrics operations expert, John Swaan, has been providing design and equipment selection guidance for a new pellet mill in Vietnam. He will soon be leading the training of the operators of the new 120,000 tonne per year pellet factory. FutureMetrics’ work in Vietnam has provided some insight into how the pellet manufacturing markets are developing. FutureMetrics has also drawn upon several sources of international trade data for this analysis.
