FutureMetrics sets record straight on biomass energy

May 3, 2016 – The team at FutureMetrics has provided a response to ‘misinformation’ presented in American media in regards to biomass for energy.
The newest white paper focuses on disputing information presented in an editorial in the Washington Post on April 28th of this year.
According to FutureMetrics, “Dear Congress: Burning wood is not the future of energy,” based on a recent written “warning” to the U.S. congress by “65 research scientists and practitioners who study energy, soils, forested and wetland ecosystems and climate change”.
The FutureMetrics white paper disputes the “editorial’s understanding of carbon accounting as it pertains to using wood for energy”.
