Bioenergy Europe releases 2023 pellets statistical report

Bioenergy Europe has released its 2023 Pellets Report that describes the current state of the pellet market based on European Pellet Council member data. The report explores production, consumption, prices, imports, exports, sales of heating appliances, and more.
“The market is currently facing an unprecedented crisis due to the European geopolitical situation,” the organization states. “The sharp increase in fossil fuel prices, coupled with a disruption of pellet import flows from Russia and Belarus, are leading to a significant increase in pellet prices and shortages in several national markets.
“The report provides data directly from Bioenergy Europe’s national contributors. It is an indispensable tool to address the current crisis and continue the development of the pellet market – as one of the key solutions to decarbonizing energy production for homes, businesses and industries worldwide.”
