Boiler explosion sends 3 people to hospital

Dec. 18, 2017 - WorkSafeNB is investigating after a biomass boiler explosion sent three people to the hospital in Edmundston, N.B.
The incident at Fiready Inc., a facility that produces cord wood, involved the company’s wood residue-fired boiler, Alex Clair, one of the co-owners of the business, told CBC News.
“The boiler has been stopped for at least a week until we can do an inspection, but we will be able to continue production,” Clair said.
