Canfor to restart BC sawmill

May 14, 2012 - Canfor Corporation has begun construction in order to help restart operations at the Radium Sawmill, located in Radium Hot Springs, BC.

May 14, 2012 – Canfor Corporation has begun
construction in order to help restart operations at the Radium Sawmill, located in Radium Hot Springs, BC.

According to an article in the Journal of Commerce, the $38 million investment has already begun and start-up is scheduled for end of 2012. 

“They will install a new planer and a thermal oil
system that will replace the propane fired system," said Christine
Kennedy, the director of public affairs and corporate communications. "It’s a separate
system that burns hog fuel to heat oil, which goes to the dry kiln."
