CanmetENERGY–Ottawa at Natural Resources Canada, in co-operation with IEA Task 32 – Biomass Combustion Expert, is organizing an expert round table discussion on “Strategies for Reducing Air Pollutants from Wood Combustion in Stressed Regions.”

Wood combustion, particularly in residential applications, remains a significant source of air pollution in the member countries of IEA Bioenergy. Remedial actions that can be considered by policy makers, regulatory agencies at state, provincial/territorial and municipal governments to control air quality are numerous.

This event aims to bring inspirations and experiences across from Europe and North America on strategies for reducing air pollution and is intended as an exchange between the IEA Bioenergy experts and North American stakeholders.

The expert discussion will be held on Oct. 5, 2023 as part of post conference event at Alaska Wood Energy Conference.
