
Carbon capture costs decline, but still too expensive: scientists

Oct. 12, 2017 - While technology for carbon capturing has advanced significantly to trap up to 90 per cent of carbon emissions from smokestacks, energy experts say cost remains a significant barrier to widespread implementation.
According to The Associated Press, new developments have seen costs decline over the past few years, but those technologies still need more government subsidies or other incentives to close the cost gap.
