CelluFuel to build biodiesel plant

September 9, 2014, Halifax, N.S. – CelluFuel has secured $5 million for the construction of a demonstration-scale biodiesel plant.

September 9, 2014, Halifax, N.S. – CelluFuel has secured $5
million for the construction of a demonstration-scale biodiesel plant.

 

According to a report from The Chronicle Herald, CelluFuel
Inc. will build the demonstration-scale plant at the ReNova Scotia Bioenergy site
in Brooklyn, at the former Bowater Mersey Paper property.

The $5 million is in addition to $2 million in loans already
secured, with $1.5 million from the Nova Scotia government and $500,000 from
the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency.

 

CelluFuel has also said that it will plan to start
construction of its first commercial-scale plant within 12 months of the
commissioning of the demonstration-scale plant.
