China looking to double ethanol output

Dec. 5, 2016 - China is looking to double its ethanol output, aiming to produce four million tonnes of ethanol by 2020, the government has annoucned.

The country has also set a goal of 15 gigawatts of installed biomass energy capacity by 2020, up from 10 GW currently, after failing to reach a previous target of 13 GW in 2015.
