
COVID-19: Malaysia’s wood pellet factories temporarily closed

The government of Malaysia has ordered a 14-day lockdown to limit the spread of COVID-19. As a result, the country’s wood pellet factories will close until March 31, reports Argus Media.
Wood pellet supply from Vietnam and Malaysia is already tight due to shortage of raw material in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.
Argus Media also reports there may be a tighter supply of container vessels for exporting wood pellets because of reduced South Korean container traffic caused by the coronavirus.
