
GE chosen to build biomass power plant

February 26, 2016 – GE has been chosen to build a 215MW biomass-fuelled power plant in Belgium.
According to power-technology.com, Belgian Eco Energy (BEE) awarded the contract for the new plant being built in Ghent.
The plant will be fuelled using woodchips and agriculture residues, using circulated fluidized bed technology to create power.
The plant is expected to be operational sometime in 2019.
