January 29, 2014, London, England – With the UK continuing to be the main market for North American wood pellets, suppliers are closely following regulatory updates that will shape the future of large-scale biomass projects. Caroline Season, Senior Policy Advisor, Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) has confirmed as a speaker at the Argus European Biomass Trading Conference. 

Furthermore, RWE’s 320MW Lynemouth power plant will now go forward for the final affordability assessment in March 2014 and the projects that qualify will be awarded investment contracts under FID in the Spring. Catherine Wainwright, Director of Lynemouth Power will be discussing the coal-to-biomass conversion.

The Argus European Biomass Trading 2014 conference will take place April 9-10 in London.
