First Nation gets grant for biomass facility

The Northern Development Initiative is providing a $250,000 grant to the Kwadacha First Nation to help fund a biomass facility that would burn wood waste from a sawmill on the reserve.

The facility would replace the diesel generators that currently power the reserve located near Williston Lake in British Columbia.
