OMNI Conversion Technologies Inc. announced a front-end engineering design (FEED) contract award from CST New Madrid, LLC, a subsidiary of Circular SynTech, LLC, to provide its Omni200 technology for Circular SynTech’s first commercial-scale OneStep waste-to-renewable-chemicals facility to be based in New Madrid, Missouri.

Circular SynTech’s patented OneStep technology has successfully completed over 11 years of extensive research and development including laboratory testing, technology validation, process optimizations, and final chemicals production.

Operating at the convergence of major interstate, rail, and river transport routes in the central U.S., CST New Madrid is the first commercial facility implementing OneStep catalysis at an industrial scale for waste-to-renewable fuels and chemicals. OMNI’s Omni200 will generate the ultra-clean OmniSyngas at the ratios needed to react with the specified OneStep catalyst producing reformates which will then be distilled into renewable fuels or chemicals.

“This contract between OMNI and CST New Madrid is a tangible example of how our technology is tackling the problem of climate change and helping organizations produce value from waste while avoiding the harmful methane emissions that would otherwise occur in a landfill,” said CEO of OMNI, Jon Lundy. “Our technology converts any solid energetic material, into ultra-clean OmniSyngas, which enables the production of clean green hydrogen, liquid fuels, chemicals or electricity for the circular economy.”

“Landfill avoidance, the energy transition, and the fight against climate change are enormous and connected opportunities,” said Dan Dockter, CEO, Circular SynTech. “Combining the Omni200 next generation waste-to-syngas production technology with Circular SynTech’s OneStep gas-to-liquid converters is a double win for the environment as together these technologies produce highly valuable renewable fuels and chemicals while simultaneously avoiding the methane and carbon dioxide emitted from both landfills and the upstream oil and gas production operations that were previously required to dispose of waste and manufacture crude-derived fuels and chemicals. The combination of our technologies will have a positive and meaningful impact on climate change.”

About the Omni200

The Omni200 is a gasification and plasma refining system which has been proven at industrial scale. It is a complete integrated system, delivered in large modules, rather than stick-built at site. It receives and converts at a rate of 200 tonnes per day (67,000 tonnes per year) a wide variety and mix of minimally prepared energetic wastes into clean consistent syngas with a predictable heating value and composition. The H2/CO ratio and other parameters can be tailored to a variety of applications. Multiple units can be readily combined for larger plants.
