Ontario supplier wins contract
Jan. 12, 2015 – Iris Solutions, part of waste-to-product business Shanks Group, in a consortium led by Orgaworld Canada has been chosen to design, build, maintain and operate the first closed-loop, fully-integrated organics waste management system in North America.

The plant will annually process 115,000 tonnes of residual kitchen and garden waste from Surrey to create a natural gas that will be used in the city’s natural gas waste collection trucks. The Surrey Biofuels Professing Facility will also produce a compost bi-product. The facility is expected to become fully operational late next year.
