Aug. 9, 2011 – With European and Asian wood
pellet imports expected to climb in the coming years, the Biomass Pellet
Export Conference
will give North American pellet
manufacturers a preview of upcoming market expectations and opportunities.

A preliminary agenda is now available for
the early September 2011 meeting, which begins with a pre-conference visit to
the Enviva Pellets facility in Wiggins, Mississippi, on September 7.

The full complement of attendees convenes
in New Orleans, Louisiana, on the 8th and 9th for presentations, round-tables,
tradeshow, and networking. Major European utilities have been invited to kick
off the talks with a discussion of pellet demand, contract requirements, and
other purchasing considerations. The day continues with a feedstock supply and
logistics panel, followed by an overview of transportation and shipping
concerns, as well as investment opportunities.

The conference wraps up the following day
by looking to the future, with a session on the upcoming sustainability
standards under development by the EU, plus a look at expected market developments
and where the North American pellet industry should be headed in the coming years. A post-conference
meeting of the newly formed U.S. Industrial Pellet Association is open to all
registered conference participants.
