June 28, 2014, Edmonton, Alta. – Radient Technologies has opened the doors to its commercial-scale facility in Edmonton, using patented microwave technology to extract high-value bioproducts.

June 28, 2014, Edmonton, Alta. – Radient Technologies has
opened the doors to its commercial-scale facility in Edmonton, using patented
microwave technology to extract high-value bioproducts.

 

According to a report from Alberta Farmer Express, the
company can process up to five tonnes of biomass per day at its new 20,000-square
foot facility in Edmonton, which the company opened earlier this month.

The company uses waste materials from rosemary, flax,
berries, algae and other types of biomass to create biochemical for use in the
cosmetic, pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries.
