Renewable energy could provide world with its power by 2030: experts

The same rate of speed in which cars replaced horses in the early 1900s could be paralleled with the pace of powering the world with renewable energy by 2030, experts say.

A worldwide energy system powered completely by renewable energy has the potential to “save money, create jobs and wealth, save lives, and get humanity ahead of the curve to prevent runaway climate change,” Tony Seba, CEO of think tank RethinkX, told the Weather Network.

The president of the Energy Watch Group said most people won’t believe 100 per cent renewable energy is possible, but it will happen when enough people believe in it.
