Apr. 24, 2012, London, UK – German utility RWE has again put back the restart dates of the three units at its 750MW Tilbury power plant in the UK, with the first unit now scheduled to return to service in June.

Unit 8 is expected to restart in June, unit 9 in September and unit 10 in October, RWE's chief executive Jurgen Grossmann said at the company's annual general meeting.

A fire in the plant's wood pellet storage area shut all units on 27 February. The plant was in the process of commissioning after converting from a coal-fired facility last year.

Unit 8 had previously been expected to return to operation on 30 April, a delay from a previous forecast for 2 April, with units 9 and 10 expected to restart on 30 July.
