School provides confined spaces safety training
November 10, 2010
Nov. 10, 2010, Vaughan, ON – Safetyscope Inc. has
launched a confined space safety school: the Safetyscope Learning Centre.
Safetyscope specializes in on-site confined space safety and rescue, and its
new Safetyscope Learning Centre, located at 2501 Rutherford Road in Vaughan,
Ontario, is an extension of what it has been doing for years—keeping workers
The new CSA confined space standard (Z1006), released
in spring 2010, details specific training workers need to work safely in
confined spaces such as silos, storage bins, and cargo holds. The Safetyscope
Learning Centre offers skill-based training comprising in-class and hands-on
training for workers from a multitude of industries and work environments.
Safetyscope instructors are confined space safety experts and have extensive
experience and training.
The school also offers construction safety classes in
its new 2,000-square-foot facility. The Safetyscope Learning Centre offers
critical safety courses such as: Fall Arrest, WHMIS, Respirator Protection,
Fire Extinguisher use, Confined Space, and Canadian Red Cross First Aid, to
name a few.
Believing that there should be no excuse for even the
smallest companies not to offer training for its workers, Safetyscope will be
conducting confined space and rescue public courses once a month at the
Learning Centre for companies that only have a few employees and can’t fill
their own classes.
