Upcoming conference discusses biomass

Nov. 11, 2011, North Bay, ON - On November 22-23, individuals involved in biomass and bioenergy will converge on the North Bay Clarion Resort Pinewood Park to discuss how to properly harvest biomass in Ontario and how it can truly be sustainable.

Nov. 11, 2011, North Bay, ON – On November 22-23, professionals in biomass and bioenergy will converge on the North Bay Clarion Resort Pinewood Park to discuss how to
properly harvest in Ontario and how it can truly be sustainable.

The conference, Harnessing Biomass II: Support for Northern Ontario
Bioeconomy Initiative
, focuses on different ways individuals and companies
can help increase knowledge and support for the biomass and biotechnology industries. A wide array of discussions will be
held, addressing everything from the inherent challenges and
opportunities involved in building Ontario's bioeconomy to wood pellet manufacturing and torrefaction.

Part of the conference involves a tour of a Tembec biomass harvesting operation located in the North Bay area with an emphasis on roundwood grinding and whole tree chipping and grinding operations.
