July 14, 2014, Vancouver, B.C. – The Wood Pellet Association
of Canada, in cooperation with WorkSafeBC and BC Forest Safety Council, is
hosting a combustible dust workshop in Prince George on July 23.

Combustible dust continues to be a significant safety risk
for all wood processing sectors.  The
workshop objectives are: (1) to re-focus the pellet industry’s efforts in
managing combustible dust; (2) to hear from WorkSafeBC about their findings
from the latest round of dust inspections, combustible dust inspection
protocols, and the new enforceable combustible dust policy; and (3) to learn
from one other in an effort to improve collective performance at managing
combustible dust.
