Bioindustrial Innovation Canada hires new controller

Sarnia, Ont.-based business accelerator Bioindustrial Innovation Canada has added Jenny Yizhen Zhang to the management team as its new controller.

BIC’s Executive Director, A.J. (Sandy) Marshall welcomes Jenny, who will be responsible for completing government reports, maintaining the GL and preparing financial statements including accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll functions and tracking expenses for all ongoing projects.

Jenny holds a degree in foreign economic law in China and graduated from Mohawk College in Hamilton, Ont., with Dean’s Honours and Red Seal Diploma in business accounting. She holds a certified payroll manager designation from Canadian Payroll Association in 2008 and started her CGA/CPA Program of Professional Studies with H.B. Commerce from CPA-Ontario and Laurentian University in 2009.

Prior to joining BIC, Jenny worked in the oil and gas sector as accounting manager and payroll specialist and has 15 years of experience working for not-for-profit organizations.
