Sept. 15, 2017 - The U.K. government's Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy has launched a consultation on proposals for controlling the costs of biomass conversions and co-firing.
Biomass conversion and co-firing are eligible for subsidies under the Renewables Obligation.
The two options up for discussion are a generator cap or a re-banding of support levels, according to the government website. The department is calling for views on both approaches and their potential impacts.
The consultation closes Oct. 26, 2017.
