British Airways investing in company to produce sustainable aviation fuel

With mounting pressure on commercial airlines to cut emissions in the post-pandemic era, British Airways is investing in a sustainable aviation fuel company.
The airline said it is investing in LanzaJet to build a U.S. plant in Georgia to produce sustainable aviation fuel.
Produced from biomass or recycled carbon, sustainable aviation fuel has about 80 per cent less carbon emissions than conventional jet fuel.
