Converting cow manure to renewable natural gas stepped up by Chevron Corp.

Converting cow manure into renewable natural gas is a strategy the Chevron Corp. has undertaken to reduce its carbon footprint.
Along with partner Brightmark LLC, another 10 facilities are being built to produce dairy biomethane for long-haul truck fueling. Chevron says it is a net positive fuel that helps curb emissions in the battle against global warming.
The push by Chevron comes amid increased pressure for oil and gas producers to demonstrate they are becoming more green.
