EU sanctions to ban Russian wood pellet exports to Europe

EU sanctions taking effect July 10 will end Russian wood pellet exports to Europe, which is expected to cause difficulties with waste disposal at Russian sawmills.

According to Lesprom Analytics, the EU accounted for 80 per cent of Russian wood pellet exports.
