April 1, 2019 – The Canadian government has announced $400,000 in funding for Granules LG in order to optimize production at its Saint-Félicien, Que., plant.

The repayable funding comes from Canada Economic Development (CED) for Quebec Regions. According to a press release, this assistance will help Granules LG purchase cutting-edge equipment, add additional warehousing space and improve its production and production management processes. Overall, this project represents a $2.2 million investment.

“Every day, our teams work to build a solid, reliable industry that consumers can count on. Here, as elsewhere, the wood pellet fuel market is growing fast and represents an environmentally friendly and energy-efficient choice. CED’s assistance is real support that we can put toward our future projects,” said Alain Paul, president of Granules LG, in a statement.
