How to mitigate dust explosion hazards in the pulp and paper industry

Despite low frequency of combustible dust explosions in the pulp and paper industry, it is important to know when to protect equipment against explosion hazards. Luc Cormier, M.Eng. P.Eng., explains in a 2018 article in Pulp & Paper Canada that the best way to assess the hazards and ensure adequate safeguards are in place is to perform a dust hazard analysis.
