Incinerator fires up in GTA

Feb. 17, 2015 – For the first time in over two decades, a new waste-to-energy plant has been built and is now burning waste in the GTA.

“According the region, the facility will generate between 17.5 gross megawatts of renewable energy — enough to power between 10,000 and 12,000 homes,” Noor Javed of the Toronto Star reports.
